Itinerary

Arrival - Kasane and transfer to Chobe

Welcome to Botswana! The trip begins in Kasane Airport. (Please take note that the flight from Johannesburg to Kasane is not included and we will advise which flights to book or we can book these flights for you)

Upon landing in Kasane Airport, there will be a friendly representative that will be there to greet you and transfer you to Pangolin Chobe Hotel. Once at the lodge we will have time to settle, enjoy lunch together before heading out and experiencing the magic of the Chobe River.

We will then return to the hotel for a delightful welcome dinner.

DAY 1

Full Day on the Chobe River

We will enjoy a full day of safari on the Chobe River.

There will be 2 safari activities on a photographic boat dedicated to us. The morning and afternoon light on the river is just stunning, and the game viewing is unlike anything else in Africa, due to viewing from a boat. The animals are habituated to the boat and they allow you to get remarkably close to them.

In between safari activities, we will spend time processing content, reviewing, and more. This will also allow us valuable time together to go through all the content captured.

DAY 2

Chobe River to Khwai Private Reserve

We will once again enjoy a full morning out on the river. After breakfast, there will be time to pack and get ready before we head back to Kasane airport in time for our private charter flight to Khwai. This is where our adventure to the Okavango Delta begins.

We will arrive at the lodge in time to settle in and enjoy a well deserved lunch.

Elephant Pan is beautiful and truly unique, situated on a waterhole that attracts heaps of wildlife at all hours of the day. We will head out on our afternoon game drive to explore the game-rich area in search of incredible animals to see and to photograph. Once back in camp, dinner will be enjoyed under the stars in the company of animals that come down for a drink at the pan itself, a delight and experience unlike many other camps can offer.

DAY 3

Full day at Elephant Pan

Screenshot

We will have a full day at Elephant Pan. The day again will start early and due to the camp's location on an active waterhole, we will stick around a little longer here waiting and watching to see what comes down for a drink. Sometimes predators wander over and our day's game viewing could begin right in camp itself before we head out on our morning game drive.

There will be time to relax in camp, enjoy lunch and also to sit and watch what comes down to the waterhole for a drink.

Spend an afternoon in the underground hide, a favorite amongst photographers, and capture some shots that you’ll remember for life. It's a unique opportunity to see elephants from the ground up, get close-up shots of many different birds that come and drink, and just to enjoy the experience of being this close to nature.

After a hard day’s game viewing, settle down in the open air boma to watch the fire crackle and listen to the sounds of the night.

DAY 4

Elephant Pan to Little Sable

This will be our last morning at Elephant Pan before departing for our next exciting and unique destination. We are in for a delightful experience as we are transferred to Little Sable by a scenic helicopter ride over the stunning Khwai region. It will be a unique and picturesque journey that will surely leave a lasting impression.

We will settle in camp with some delicious lunch and ready yourself for the afternoon game drive. Once back in camp there will be time to freshen up, enjoy a fireside conversation followed by dinner.

DAY 5

Full days at Little Sable

We will enjoy 3 full days here at Little Sable.

Each day will start before sunrise as we wake to a choir of birdsong and ready ourselves for the day ahead. Head on over to the main area for a cup of coffee, followed by a morning game drive at first light. Mornings are dedicated to the predators. They are most active early mornings and this is the time we will try and find them doing what they do best - giving us incredible memories and beautiful photographs. As the morning progresses the cats might get sleepy, but many animals will still be about, including elephants looking for water, and general game like Giraffe, zebra, and buffalo going about their business. The morning game drive will see us back in camp around 10 am, depending on what we find out in the field.

There's a break in the middle of the day. Enjoy brunch together and take the opportunity to learn from your Tanda Afrika host on photography and animal behavior. This is also a great time to take an afternoon nap, and regather your strength before heading out for an afternoon safari.

The afternoon safari departs just before 4 pm. There will be much to see as animals go about their business before nightfall. At sunset, we will try to locate some nocturnal predators to see what they get up to in the last hours of daytime. We return to camp to talk about the day's events next to the campfire, and to enjoy a lovely dinner.

DAY 6-8

Departure - Little Sable to Maun

This will be our last and final day on this amazing safari experience.

After a morning safari, we will fly to Maun. This will signal the end of the experience. Board a flight back home to Johannesburg (Please take note that this flight is not included in the itinerary), and then onwards back home.
